Michael Wooden, CFS
Mr. Wooden made the transition to wealth management in early 2004, after spending nearly 5 years as an income tax accountant in the high net worth divisions of two different national banking institutions. During that time, Michael was responsible for nearly 500 individual and fiduciary income tax returns, which also included the review and interpretation of hundreds of Wills and/or Trust documents. Prior to working as an accountant, Mr. Wooden received a BS with two majors, Finance and Accounting, from the University of Maryland, College Park. In 2006, Mr. Wooden earned the Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) designation, from the Institute of Business and Finance of La Jolla, California. Michael is FINRA series 7 and 66 licensed, an Investment Advisor Representative of WRP Investments, Inc. member FINRA & SIPC, as well as being Life and Health Insurance Licensed.
Mr. Wooden is heavily involved in community activities through the Northern Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce. Currently, Mr. Wooden serves as President-Elect, is a member of their Legislative Committee, and is co-founder and past Chairman of their Young Entrepreneurs and Professional Group. In 2008, Mr. Wooden joined the Board of Directors of the Monarch Academy, which is a charter school in Anne Arundel County, MD. In 2005, Mr. Wooden was elected as Treasurer and President-Elect of the BWI-Linthicum Rotary Club.
Michael is an avid sports fan, which stems from his college days where he was elected Captain of the Baseball Team at the University of Maryland. He enjoys running and golf, and spending quality time with his family. He lives in Linthicum, MD with his wife Melanie, his two daughters Reagan and Reese and his son Reid.
